To love with the Gospel

"To claim to be loving people and not share the Gospel is a contradiction."
-John Piper

Hi Linda,
How true a quote...
I think in many instances, we don't know what the Gospel is, because we have bought into a "different gospel".
The other thought that I've had lately is that without understanding the Gospel, we really can't know what love is or how to really express it.
Thanks for sharing! I love Piper. He really brings out the truth.
How are you? I hope all is well!
Blessings!
Karen

Wow, Linda!
I can't thank you enough for posting that simple little quote with a link to Piper's website. I've spent a good chunk of my spare time snooping around his site, especially all his narative poetry. He wrote a masterful piece about one of my favorite people in the Bible; Uriah the Hittite, and it so beautifully pictured the power of reconcilliation offered in Christ.
